What it is
RivL connects verified club competition golfers through the official rounds they already play
Play the golf you already play
RivL doesn't replace your club competition. It builds on the Saturday & weekday comps, the monthly medal, the weekend stableford/par events — the rounds you already play. Your home club remains at the heart of your RivL journey.
Compete beyond your home club
Your verified competition rounds contribute to RivL rankings, connecting golfers across clubs, regions and states through verified competition golf. No additional qualifying rounds required.
Built on verified competition golf
Eligible scores must originate from an offical club competition and be submitted through a recognised digital scoring platform accepted by the golfer's club and Golf Australia. Participant identity, handicap status and competition eligibility are verified using the golfer's unique Golf Australia number. No social rounds. No self-reported scores. Just official club competition golf and a fair pathway to championship competition.

THE SERIES
Inaugural Spring Series Overview
The RivL Inaugural Spring Series is a multi-stage amateur golf competition built on the official club competition rounds you already play. Golfers compete within divisions and handicap grades, progressing through qualification and elimination stages for the opportunity to earn a place in the RivL Championship.
Stage One – Qualifying Series
The Qualifying Series runs over six weeks, beginning in September 2026. Golfers may submit a maximum of eight eligible club competition rounds during the qualifying period. Scores are verified through Golf Australia and accepted rounds contribute to the golfer's RivL ranking within their allocated handicap grade. Only a golfer's best four verified qualifying rounds will contribute to their ranking.
Stage Two – Divisions & Rankings
Golfers are grouped into handicap grades based on their Golf Australia handicap at the series commencement: · Open: +4.0 to 2.0 · A Grade: 2.1 to 8.0 · B Grade: 8.1 to 14.0 · C Grade: 14.1 to 20.0 · D Grade: 20.1 to 27.0 To be eligible for grade championship honours, a golfer must have a current Golf Australia handicap within the qualifying grade range on the day of the RivL Championship. Rankings are updated throughout the qualifying period as verified rounds are accepted.
Stage Three – RivL Championship
The highest-ranked players from the elimination stage qualify for the RivL Championship. Championship qualifiers will compete for inaugural series honours, division titles and grade championship titles, with the opportunity to become part of RivL history. Further details regarding qualification numbers, elimination formats and championship field sizes will be announced prior to the commencement of the series.
